Art Exhibit: The Portland Public Library is pleased to announce that paintings by Rebecca Burns, Watercolor and Colored Pencil Artist will be on exhibit in the gallery of the library August 11, 2015 through August 31, 2015.  Rebecca Burns was born and raised in Indiana where she first studied art and discovered her passion for watercolor.  She lived in Arizona for several years and studied the medium of colored pencil.  Rebecca now resides in Gallatin, Tennessee and enjoys expressing her art in florals, abstracts, portraits, animals, and still life paintings.  She is continually amazed at the mystical effects that are produced when watercolor pigment touches wet paper, each application different than before.  Colored pencil art intrigues Rebecca and gives her the opportunity to pain in fine detail.
